Tai-ping Test

A typing test against one of history's lesser-known manifestos.

In 1852, on the eve of the Taiping Rebellion — the bloodiest civil war of the nineteenth century — Yang Xiuqing and Xiao Chaogui issued a proclamation calling the Chinese people to rise against the Manchu Qing dynasty. The text below is from that proclamation: a catalogue of grievances against the Qing, and a case that the empire belonged to the Chinese.
